head coach - sonia ford
Sonia Ford is our Head Coach. She is a Middle and Senior School teacher at Navigator College in Port Lincoln, volunteers her time working with out squads and has been a past competitive swimmer. Sonia is a Bronze Licence Coach and comes with a wealth of knowledge. Sonia enjoys mentoring all our kids to become better swimmers and also puts an emphasis on becoming better people for the wider community. Sonia freely passes on her swimming knowledge to assistant coaches Jade Calverley and Celia Mickan and loves to mentor our Senior Swimmers and engages them to also assist on pool deck. Sonia currently serves on the ASTCA (Australian Swimming Teachers and Coaches Association) committee.
junior dolphin & development coach - jade calverley
Jade Calverley manages the development of swimmers in our Junior Dolphins and Development Squads and has a special interest in mentoring our multiclass athletes and their families. Jade is 19 years of age, is an accreditated AUSTSWIM teacher and has completed her Bronze Licence Coaching accreditation. Jade is an international multiclass athlete.
Jade has recently competed at the 2017 World Dwarf Games in a number of sports apart from swimming. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education (Rehabilitation Counselling) externally through Flinders University. Jade has an enormous rapport with kids of all ages and brings to pool deck a sense of fun and happiness to all. Jade currently serves on the ASTCA (Australian Swimming Teachers and Coaches Association) committee.
