Club Captains are chosen at the start of each swimming season. There is a Club Captain Selection Policy that the West Coast Swimming Club follow to establish nominations and final selection. Upon being nominated by the coaches and ratified by the committee, all nominees are then up for selection by the current club swimmers. They are asked to vote on who they think provides all the qualities that a Club Captain epitomises for our club for the upcoming season.
Kylie HurrellMy name is Kylie Hurrell and I have been swimming with West Coast Swim Club since I was 9 years old. From when I first joined the club I’ve made some amazing friendships with each and every person. As I got older, training and making new friendships made me love the sport even more.
As a West Coast family we all support and encourage each other. Swimming has taught me how to be disciplined and that if you put in the hard work you can achieve whatever it is you put your mind too. I believe I am an extremely dedicated swimmer and always give my best to each training session. As captain, I hope to be an encouraging and supportive role model to all swimmers in the club. I want everyone to be able to achieve their own goals and enjoy coming to each session. We can strengthen as a team and become better swimmers, whilst also loving the sport, having fun, and making lasting memories. It is a privilege to be chosen as the female captain for West Coast 2019/ 2020 season. WEST COAST THE BEST COAST!!! |
